Fairtrade Zone Status
One of the criteria for gaining Fairtrade Zone status is to establish a Fairtrade Steering Group. This group oversees activities going on throughout the year in order to ensure the City is still meeting the five goals. The group also organises special events for Fairtrade Fortnight in February / March each year and throughout the year, such as business breakfasts, debates and staff competitions.
The City Fairtrade Steering Group was first convened in November 2006 and is chaired by Reverend G.R. Bush of Justshare (a coalition of London Churches). To find out more about the members of our steering group, please click on the links to the left. test
The steering group is open to representatives of businesses, resident or community groups based within the Square Mile. If you would like to get involved please email fairtrade@cityoflondon.gov.uk or call 020 7332 1428.
