At the Aviva Head Office we provide free vending to in access of 600
colleagues. We provide Fairtrade tea, coffee, sugar and hot chocolate
in these vending machines. Our catering hospitality provides only
Fairtrade tea, coffee, sugar and herbal teas to our meeting rooms.
In order to launch the initiative to supply Fairtrade products for
vending and hospitality, we hosted a Fairtrade breakfast at Aviva Head
Office to coincide with Fairtrade Fortnight. Attendance was excellent
with approximately 80 colleagues attending from various City
businesses, Aviva Executives, our suppliers and colleagues.
We stock and sell 8 - 10 Fairtrade products in our staff café in St.
Helen’s. These products are also sold via a trolley service to 12
tenants’ in St. Helen’s, which has approximately 1700 occupants.
Aviva were actively involved in Fairtrade fortnight and continue to
promote Fairtrade by networking, sharing information, promoting
Fairtrade by way of internal communications and branding.
Working with our events teams we request Fairtrade at our external events.
Fairtrade products are provided in hospitality on 2 London sites
currently with the remainder of sites under consideration to be
switched to Fairtrade. The switch to Fairtrade vending throughout the
UK is also under consideration.
